Video Compares iPhone 5 And iPhone 4S iPhone 5 To Be Longer, More Scratch Resistant And Thinner!

With Apple, nothing can ever be said for sure and as such, all rumors should be taken with a pinch of salt. The Cupertino giant surprises, or as was the case with the iPhone 4S, disappoints us. Most recently, Apple proved rumors wrong by naming the next generation iPad the ‘new iPad’ instead of iPad 3, which is what mostly everyone thought it would be called. That aside, this time the rumors are likely to be closer to the mark as there is a lot of supporting evidence.

Since Apple didn’t physically change much when the iPhone 4S was released, the iPhone 5 (if it does end up being called that) is expected to differ greatly. While the form factor will remain similar, there is a great chance that the device will be easily discernible from its predecessor thanks to a smaller dock connector, (19-pin or 8-pin), a larger screen, the headphone jack moving to the bottom of the device and such changes. It has also recently been rumored that the speaker grills could be revamped greatly.

Out of the above, perhaps the change many people still have ambivalent feelings about is the larger screen. Apple has previously stuck to a 3.5 inch screen whereas smartphones from other companies have become increasingly massive. According recent rumors though, the iPhone 5 is going to break out of this and offer something slightly larger.

Now, a video has surfaced that claims to compare the specs of the front panel of the upcoming iPhone 5 with the existing iPhone 4S.

According to this video by ETrade Supple, the iPhone 5 has a Home button smaller by 0.3 mm which in turn allows room for a display measuring 4.06 inches.  The Next-gen iPhone 5 will be running the latest firmware iOS 6 that has many new features including the latest Apple Maps app.
