Useful All-In-One Toolkit Developed For HTC One X

Toolkits are essentially a whole bunch of amazing features crammed into one little package. Usually, toolkits give users the ability to perform numerous modifications to their phone immensely easily making them perfect for everybody. As such, they are near-essentials for professionals, developers and newbies too. We recently wrote about a universal toolkit for the Samsung Galaxy SIII. Now, one has popped up for another popular device – the HTC One X.

Typical toolkits have all the basic, useful features one would expect. These include gaining root access, flashing a custom recovery etc. If someone wished to un-root their device, toolkits also allow users to do this. The toolkit for HTC One X offers a veritable plethora of features, which are listed below according to version number:

V1.0
Flash Kernels & Modules
Flash Recoveries
Reboot The Phone
Reboot Into Recovery/Bootloader
V1.1
Kernel Repack – Phone on Android with USB Debug Enabled – No Need For The Recovery
v1.2
MultiKernel Repack
Repacked output Format Kernel.Ramdisk.IMG
V1.3
One Click Root
V1.4
Reworked Module Flasher
Decreased/Removed some delays
Fixed Faux Module Unzipping Problem
V1.5
Added RUU Zip Flashing Ability – For Advanced Users

As is evident from the features list, this toolkit will allow users to both root and flash a custom recovery on their HTC One X. Apart from these typical features, this toolkit also has some unique ones; it allows both kernel and module flashing and an RUU zip flashing utility. Clearly, this is great for all owners of the One X, especially those who want to root or flash recovery the easiest possible way and is likely to be the only desktop application any user of the One X will need for all sorts of flashing and rooting etc.

Before you use this toolkit, make sure you perform a nandroid backup, just in case something goes wrong. For more information and to use this awesome toolkit for HTC One X, head over to the original thread.

Also note the pre-requisites for this toolkit, also clearly stated in the original thread over at XDA:

  • An unlockd bootloader. Unlock yours from HTCdev.com/bootloader by choosing ‘All other supported models’.
  • ClockworkMod Recovery
  • USB Debugging enabled. Do this by navigating to your phone’s Settings > Developer’s Tools.
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5

Enjoy unleashing your device’s true potential.
