Well, things have been going too good lately with the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 available. Good news for those who use Windows, they also don’t need to wait anymore since they can now make the use of a new tool. Redsn0w 0.9.6rc9 & PwnageTool 4.3 to untethered jailbreak 4.3.1 was released  this morning equipped with i0n1c’s untethered exploit. Now ih8sn0w has released Sn0wbreeze 2.5 to untethered jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 on Windows using custom firmware using the same exploit.

Sn0wbreeze 2.5 supports the following devices

· iPhone 4

· iPhone 3GS

· iPod Touch 4G

· iPod Touch 3G

· iPad

· Apple TV 2G

There is still no ETA on a jailbreak for iPad 2 since all the current methods being employed have simply been patched by Apple in the new device. If this continues for iPhone 5 too then we may never have a jailbreak for it as well but let’s keep that aside and enjoy with this tool.

    hi, not sure what it means.
    is it that if i am planning to unlock, i should stay away from untethered jailbreak.
    what is untethered jail break vs other jail break?

    A device on tehtered jailbreak doesn’t restart after the reboot, it requires
    another software push! Untethered Works fine and a device with untethere
    can be restarted anytime!
    By unlockers, I meant if you are on iPhone 4 or 3GS with an old baseband and
    you used Ultrasn0w to unlock that baseband, you should stay away from iOS
    4.3.1! Ultrasn0w has to be updated to work on basebands like 1.59 or 5.13
    etc..

    when we can expext it? i’ve just updated to 4.3.1 and noticed that there is no service :/ goddamn
