Smartphones have made life easier in many ways and things that weren’t possible on an old cell phone, now can be done in a few taps on the latest Android or iOS device. On the down side, with the smartphones getting faster processors and bigger screens, the battery time has lowered significantly. Auto Data app might just be the app an avid internet user needs to increase battery time while never losing connection to the cyber world.
Unless a user is near a WiFi source all the time, carrier based Mobile Date connection is the only way to stay connected to your e-life. That however comes at a steep price as Mobile Data munches on the battery life too. Lowering screen brightness, underclocking and undervolting the CPU, constant killing of apps using task killers and many other tweaks and tricks are used to squeeze more juice from the battery.

One of XDA forum’s senioer member has come up with an app that helps you get a little more battery time. The app’s working is pretty simple yet effective. What Auto Data app does is when the device screen turns off, the application toggles Mobile Data on and off every 5 minutes. This equates to having it off for 30 minutes and on for 30 minutes every hour, without input from the user. It could be enough time off to perhaps save battery life, but not off so long that applications can’t obtain updates.
Try the app and see if it helps you increase battery time while staying connected to the internet.
