Following the overwhelming success of Samsung’s Galaxy S smartphones, is some news related to the next phone in line. The Samsung Galaxy III has debuted on what seems to be Samsung’s official site for UAE. The new handset, dubbed the Samsung GT-I9300, shows on a drop-down menu on the site. Since this model number does not belong to any other handset, it can only be the Galaxy S III.

During a recent earnings conference call, Mrs.Younghee Lee of Samsung said that options for the upcoming device are still under consideration. The company also announced a record-breaking profit at the same conference. Already top competitors for Apple, this will make them even more prominent. Coming back to the Galaxy S III; the device doesn’t exist yet although Samsung’s support site is already showing the device. With the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona fast approaching, it was expected that the Koreans would come up with something, as the conference is a great platform for an announcement. However since Samsung’s executives themselves are saying that the matter is under ‘review’, perhaps we shouldn’t be expecting it. Samsung could also prolong the wait for the S III phone’s release to let earlier devices, especially Galaxy S II, exhaust sales.

In October 2011, Samsung announced that it had sold 30 Million Galaxy S and Galaxy S II phones globally. This statistic is enough to show just how impressive the phone’s sales were. Following the immense achievements of the Galaxy S phones, Google partnered with Samsung and the Galaxy Nexus was born. Now it’s time for Samsung’s very own Galaxy S line.
