Purported Photos Of Apple’s Smaller Dock Connector Surface!

As we get closer to Apple possibly unveiling a veritable range of iDevices in September, the rumors continue to be churned out at an incredible rate. These devices have often been rumored to sport a smaller dock connector than the current 30-pin standard dock connector that is seen on all Apple devices. Although a 9-pin dock connector has often been mentioned, new reports alongside images surfaced, courtesy French blog Nowherelse.fr, show an 8-pin connector.

However, the blog later posted an update claiming that the dock connector actually has 16-pins (8 on each side). This is the connector that is expected to be seen on the next generation iPhone and iPad, as well as possibly on the revamped iPod line too.

While it cannot be confirmed that these images are true or not, it is widely expected for Apple to drop the 30-pin connector, making all accessories incompatible, and release an adapter instead.
