A huge news for all you guys waiting for an iOS 5 untethered Jailbreak. Pod2g a few weeks back claimed that he found a bug which could lead to a possible untethered jailbreak for iOS 5. He was right, the team just demoed it and it looks great, watch the video after the jump.

This video means that we are days away from a final untethered jailbreak solution for iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad and iPod Touch 4G / 3G. Now, it would be interesting to see if they were able to jailbreak the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2. Remember, Musclenerd already put up a video of his iPhone 4S running a jailbreak but he didn’t mention if it was tethered or untethered.
Anyways, watch the video and let us know what you think:
We are hoping the team get this done as soon as possible, its been a while and people really need this to fully enjoy the jailbreak state of iOS 5. We already have the Tethered and Semi-tethered version of iOS 5 but an untethered is what makes a jailbreak complete.
We’ll keep you posted on this and we’ll let you know if an iPhone 4S Jailbreak or an iPad 2 jailbreak is coming with this.
Update: Pod2g just confirmed that this jailbreak is working for iOS 5.0.1. So great news for all those waiting for an iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak.
