More Rumors! Mini Dock Connector Seen in Apple Store and iPad Mini Shell Photos!

The iPad Mini and iPhone 5 rumors continue to shower upon us. This time, there are two. One is the leaked photos of iPad Mini shell case and the other is the video of the probable new smaller dock connecter for the new iPad Mini and Next-Gen iPhone 5. Once again, the authenticity of these rumors will only be proved with the actual launch of the devices on the 12th September Apple event.

The iPad Mini shell photos come from Apple.pro blog. Something worth noticing is that the cases are missing the camera spots. Considering that all the products launched recently by Apple have a camera and also that even the latest iPod Touch 4G had one, it is most unlikely that Apple will pass on adding this feature to highly anticipated mini tablet.

The next rumor about the new mini-dock connector for iPad Mini and iPhone 5 comes from Awhitedot.com, a blog about Apple related news. The video shows off how the blogger supposedly found a leaked mini-dock to dock connector adaptor in the Apple Store. The video shows him navigating to this page, but it currently displays a 404 error.

Now it seems highly unlikely that Apple will leak such information. The video shows that the mini-dock connector is available on Apple Store in two colors, black and white. Since Apple never uses colors in the US App Store, this obviously seems like a fake.

Authentic or not, such a converter will be definitely needed if Apple switches to the mini dock port. Let’s hope Apple actually sells it along the soon to be launched iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.
