As promised the Dev Team released the untethered Jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 today. We already have Redsn0w for PC and here comes the PwnageTool 4.3 for MAC. PwnageTool is an equivalent of redsn0w and it works with MAC OS X. The one big plus of PwnageTool is, it can preserve your baseband while Jailbreaking or restoring to a custom iOS version. But TinyUmbrella works equally good for PC users for preserving iPhone 4 baseband.

[ Step 1 ]

If you don’t have it yet, Download iOS 4.3.1
[ Step 2 ]
Once you have everything, run PwnageTool and choose expert mode. I prefer the expert mode over simple mode. Simple mode is just way too simple. So if you need the real taste of PwnageTool hit the expert mode.
[ Step 3 ]
From the list of devices, choose your device and proceed.
[ Step 4 ]
PwnageTool will ask you to provide the iOS 4.3.1 file you downloaded in Step 1. Wait for the application to recognize the iOS 4.3.1 file.
[ Step 5 ]
Once PwnageTool 4.3 is ready, hit the build button to create the custom iOS 4.3.1 file. If you want to hacktivate or activate your device, hit the General button and make sure “Activate the phone” is checked. It is checked by default though.
[ Step 6 ]
PwnageTool will ask where to save the custom iOS 4.3.1 file. Choose a folder or location and hit save. PwnageTool will start building the custom iOS 4.3.1 file which takes about 2-5 minutes.
[ Step 6 ]
Now PwnageTool will guide you to put your device in DFU mode.
Power + Home = 10 Seconds
Release Power Button and keep holding Home button = 5 Seconds Until you see the Black screen, release button when your device goes blank
[ Step 7 ]
Now once in DFU mode, fire up iTunes and from the options on your screen hit "Option key + Restore”. iTunes will ask for the custom iOS 4.3.1 file. Select the file and wait for iTunes to restore your device with this custom file.
[ Step 8 ]
If all goes well, your device should restart after a few minutes, Jailrboken on iOS 4.3.1 and untethered. Enjoy!
