Well, if he is not bluffing like last time with Ultrasn0w for iPhone 4 then it’s a great news for all iPhone 4S users. MuscleNerd is a famous Dev Team member and he is the guy behind Ultrasn0w and other major Jailbreaking tools. He made a twitter announcement about a possible iPhone 4S unlock using Ultrasn0w.
The details are still blurry but here is his tweet image he posted with the announcement:
The one big hurdle in this unlock is probably the iPhone 4S Jailbreak. Remember, there is still no jailbreak for it and without a jailbreak there is no way to Unlock iPhone 4S using Ultrasn0w. Also, Musclenerd is the same guy who posted a video proof of iPhone 4S jailbreak. So, I think he has both the jailbreak and the unlock for iPhone 4S somewhere in his basement and he’ll soon make them public, probably waiting for the right time.
On the other hand The chronic Dev team has reached to all its members asking for an iOS 5 exploit to untethered jailbreak it. So both the teams are working hard to come up with a solution, its been a while and people are waiting…
This ultrasn0w version should be able to Unlock 1.0.11 baseband. Stay tuned and we’ll post more details or any release dates on iPhone 4S unlock.
There is another version of iPhone 4S unlock available which requires no jailbreak and it has worked for a few people, works on AT&T only.
