So, its been a month, probably more and we still don’t have a word from the hackers on iOS 5 untethered jailbreak. We have the tethered version and we have a semi-tethered version, which works great by the way. But, what we are looking for and we have been asked for is a complete untethered solution.
I get emails, I get Twitter messages and people ask me on Facebook fan page about the update and frankly I have no idea what to tell them. What I know so far is that the iOS 5.0.1 is out, iOS 5.0.2 is almost out but no luck with the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak.
I am sure there is a reason hackers are delaying this, I don’t blame them but I have my own concerns. The vulnerabilities hackers are trying to exploit might already be fixed in iOS 5.0.1 or will be fixed in the coming iOS version. They issued a clear warning that if you guys need an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 you should not update to iOS 5.0.1. People wont stop updating the devices, whenever a new update comes, god knows why they rush into it. Its natural though, updates really are tempting but if you are a jailbreaker you should really never opt for an update unless its iOS 6 or something.
So, how many of you are having that “There wont be an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5” feeling? I am sure you already know about the fake jailbreaking tools floating around. I personally know some guys who went for it and ended up losing the money. Sites claiming to have the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak tool are fake and they are just stealing your money. Don’t fall for it.
Lets just keep our hopes high and wait for the hackers to come up with something. I don’t know if people would wait till iOS 5.0.2 or iOS 5.0.3, they will eventually update the devices. I suggest to work on iOS 5.0.1 or iOS 5.0.2 instead of iOS 5 untethered solution.
