Finally a word on the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak has arrived. Apple’s next generation iOS version is already out and some 2 million devices are already activated with it. The big question is, can we jailbreak it and is there an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 available?
We already have the tethered version but its not everyone’s choice at the moment. We are hoping to get the untethered version soon and the teams are working on it. A few weeks ago, the hackers announced that they have found some 5 exploits in iOS 5which could lead to a possible untethered solution.
I0n1c, a famous jailbreaker, has claimed that the untethered jailbreak is covered which means that it may arrive very soon after the final release. Maybe these guys have found something and it is in the Beta versions already.
iPhone 4S is already out and jailbreak fans are itching to jailbreak it. It would be a challenge for hackers to jailbreak the new iPhone and I am sure The Dev Team and The Chronic team would love to grab one and do some tests on it.

Redsn0w and Sn0wbreeze can now Jailbreak iOS 5, follow the link for guides. This is a tethered jailbreak at the moment, but I guess you can live with a tethered jailbreak until the untethered version is out. I have tested it and it is working absolutely fine for me, just don’t let your battery run out of juice and you are good.
