Install Siri On iPad 1, 2 Or The New iPad Using SiriPort (Original) 5.2-1 [How To]

The recently revealed iOS 6 promises Siri availability on the third generation iPad as well. However, since that’s only for developers right now, owners of the latest iPad cannot get Siri just now. At least you can’t do that officially. That also leaves iPad 1 and 2 owners Siri deprived. If you are such an iPad owner who really wants Apple’s smart assistant on their device, what you need is SiriPort.

There have been several alternatives to Siri over time. These included Voice Actions, the creatively named Sara as well as Voice Answer. Most people want the real thing, however and not alternatives to it. And as long as your iPad 3 is both jailbroken and running iOS 5.1 or 5.1.1, it’ll only take you a couple of minutes, tops, to get a fully functional Siri on it.

For the earlier gen iPad’s 1 & 2, a little more time will be required. That’s because, unlike the new iPad, you will need to catch the character key for these two. This will take a little time and is dependent on how many iPhone 4S are connected to the server at that moment.

That said, the overall process is pretty straightforward and definitely worth it. At the end, you will have Apple’s assistant on your very own iPad if you follow all the steps correctly.

Follow the set of instructions meant for your iPad.

Also note that your iPad needs to be jailbroken in order for this to work. If yours isn’t, jailbreak it using Absinthe.
