Although devices nowadays offer greater internal storage than older devices, it is still nice to free up space by using scripts. For instance, users use scripts like A2SD to install apps to the external memory to have more internal storage unoccupied. Since this script has come along, more have been created. These include scripts such as A2SD+, A2SD++, INT2EXT and D2EXT etc. Combined, these scripts give users with rooted Android devices to manage their internal and external storage in numerous ways. Thanks to an XDA Senior Member “croniccorey”, you can now implement all of the aforementioned scripts using a single script called CronMod.
All scripts work in a different manner and allow you to use them in different ways. The features of various scripts, as explained by croniccorey in this thread:
Before you try this out, make sure your device is rooted as CronMod is only meant for rooted devices. You will also need a SD-EXT partition.
SD Card Partionining:
Partition 1 – FAT32
Partition 2 – Ext 2/3/4
These are based on ClockWorkMod Recovery. If you already use A2SD, D2EXT or INT2EXT scripts, you will need to remove them completely.
Step 1: Download the appropriate script from download links given at the end.
Step 2: Place on root of your SD Card.
Step 3: Reboot into Recovery.
Step 4: Select “install zip from sdcard”.
Step 5: Select “choose zip from sdcard”.
Step 6: Select “CronMod-****_signed”.
Step 7: Select “mounts and storage” category.
Step 8: Select “format /sd-ext”.
Now simply reboot.
As long as your device is rooted and all the pre-requisites fulfilled, it’s simply a matter of choosing the best option, as each script works in a specific manner.
