How to Jailbreak iPhone 4/ 3GS and 4th Gen iPod Touch on iOS 6!

A new updated Redsn0w is available from the iPhone Dev-Team, which is released for public use. The updated Redsn0w has iOS 6 support for A4 devices and features the much improved Cydia app. The devices which are supported are listed below.

* A4 Devices
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 3GS
- 4th-gen iPod touch

Hacktivation + baseband preservation support has also been added for iPhone 4 and 3GS.

Follow the easy steps below to Jailbreak your iPhone 4, 3GS or iPod Touch running iOS 6 using Redsn0w:

1. Download and install Redsn0w 0.9.15b1 for your operating system Windows, Mac.

2.Open Redsnow (for Win7/xp Run it as Administrator). OS X Mountain Lion users should open it by Ctrl-Click on the Redsn0w icon and then press Open from the menu.

3. Now just Click on Jailbreak button, then select Cydia and then enter DFU mode.The instructions will be on screen, Redsn0w will start jailbreaking your device using limera1n exploit, once it’s in DFU mode. When jailbreak is done, select “Autoboot this device when it connects in DFU mode”.

Wait for few seconds as the device will reboot, after its on you can check Cydia icon on the home screen, finally your device is jailbroken successfully.

Note for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS Ultrasn0w unlockers: You will first need to preserve your older baseband to be eligible for unlock. Click on “Extras” option and then select “Custom IPSW” option. Select the required iOS 6 IPSW file for your device, and let Redsn0w make the custom firmware for you. Once done, enter Pwned DFU mode by selecting “Pwned DFU” from Redsn0w’s Extras option, and then restore to this custom firmware.

*You know it’s a tethered jailbreak so after rebooting your device jailbreak will be removed automatically, for a safe boot see below:

Now It’s easy to Boot your device in tethered mode, by using Redsn0w.Go to main screen click on the “Extras” and then click on “Just Boot” option. Just follow the instructions shown on the screen, after reboot you are again successfully back into tethered-jailbreak mode.
