How To Improve Performance and Battery Life For Samsung Galaxy Ace

People often wish that their handsets were just that little bit faster than they currently are. Even with a heavily tweaked ROM or kernel some phones don’t perform like they should. Various scripts, tweaks and mods do improve a phone’s performance but sometimes a phone can perform even better. Here’s some good news for Samsung Galaxy Ace owners: ‘slaid480’ has developed another script for the device, which works rather well and improves both performance and battery life!

Apart from the improved performance and battery life, the script also allows you to enhance 3G network speeds via a few build.prop and tweaks. However, like often with anything that sounds exceptionally good, there is a drawback that will probably discourage some people. The script does not come in an easy-to-flash update.zip file. This means that users will have to work a bit, and manually place files where they’re supposed to be placed, and set permissions correctly.

Once done with that, all that will remain to be done is a reboot. Please remember to create backup for your files before flashing.

There are a few requirements for this script though. Your device will need to be rooted, running Gingerbread 2.3.x or higher and have at least 1 MB space free on your /system. A Kernel that supports init.d will also be required as well as Ext4 lagfix if you wish to use the remount script.

For more details regarding the script, installation, features etc. head on over to the script thread that slaid480 posted in the XDA forum. Once you have installed the script, you will immediately notice the difference in your device by experiencing less lag and amazing speed.
