Fix Jelly Bean 4.1 Wi-Fi Issue On Verizon Galaxy Nexus [How To]

If you couldn’t wait for the official update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for your device (which might take months) and have it flashed already, you might have noticed a few issues. One prominent issue being faced by owners of the Verizon Galaxy Nexus is in regard to the Wi-Fi strength. If you are one of the people who flashed a Jelly Bea ROM onto your Verizon Galaxy Nexus, you have probably noticed connectivity issues and low number of bars in areas normally providing full signal strength. Thanks to XDA member mwalt2, this issue can now be easily corrected.

The entire problem was caused by a singular file difference and it can be corrected by simply flashing this missing file in CWM.

Simply download this file and flash it through ClockworkMod Recovery. Mwalt2 originally suggested a cache wipe but has since updated and said that no wipe is necessary. It is good practice to back up all your data regardless, though.

Once you flash the file via CWM, you should notice your Wi-Fi connection being as good as ever.
