Enable USB or Bluetooth Tethering And Native Wi-Fi Hotspot on the HTC EVO 4G LTE [How To]

Want to enable native USB and Bluetooth network tethering on your brand new HTC EVO 4G LTE? Now you can. This can be done via using either a simple build.prop edit or easily flash an update.zip file. This will also unlock the native Wi-Fi hotspot on your HTC EVO.

Before you flash the file, make sure you back up all your data.

The hack itself is one of the simplest you’ll ever come across.

To enable native USB and Bluetooth network and unlock Wi-Fi using a simple build.prop edit, follow the following steps:

Step 1: Open your build.prop and add the following line in it anywhere:

Code:
ro.tether.denied=false

Step 2: Reboot and you should be good to tether.

This has been tested by the developer on a fully rooted ROM with unsecured boot.

Flashable zip files made by an XDA Developers member can instead be used and found on this original thread.
