Apple Seeds iOS 5.1 Beta 1 to Developers

iOS 5.1 first beta has been released by Apple to developers. If you are a registered developer you can download iOS 5.1 from Apple’s developer section. If you are not a developer you can scroll to the end for the download links, but we would suggest to enroll into Apple’s developer program to get all the benefits.

Apple release iOS 5.1 for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and it is a major update after iOS 5.0.1. Frankly, I was expecting iOS 5.0.2 but iOS 5.1 is even better but you never know you might get iOS 5.0.2 before iOS 5.1. Apple will probably concentrate on iPhone 4S battery issue in this update with a few perks here and there. Don’t expect any major update to iOS or any new features.

Apple recently took a survey, asking iPhone 4S users to test an iOS version for their battery issues and I think they know what’s causing the battery drain. iOS 5.0.1 was supposed to fix that issue, but it helped just a few users and many are still complaining about the iPhone 4S battery drain.

iOS 5.1 will take weeks and expect two to three beta version before a GM and final public iOS 5.1 release. iOS 5.0.2 might just hit in two weeks to fix all the minor issues people are having and the iPhone 4S battery issue. We’ll keep you posted for sure on this..
