After two betas in two days and a quick release to a few people, Apple has finally released iOS 5.0.1 to public. This is the final release and you can either download it on your computer or do an OTA update if you are on iOS 5.

iOS 5.0.1 has nothing but the battery fix for iPhone 4S, Siri upgrade for Australian users and multitasking gesture for iPad 1.
Follow the links below if you want to download iOS 5.0.1 or if you are on a non-jailbroken device go to Settings > General > Software Update to update Over the Air. The OTA update size is surprisingly small, its just 45MB.

For Jailbreakers and Unlockers:
If you are waiting for an iOS 5 untethered jailbreak, you might want to stay away from iOS 5.0.1. There is a possibility that Apple might have fixed the bug hackers found. They issued a warning as well, a few days, so don’t rush into this new iOS version if you are planning on jailbreaking iOS 5. Same goes for those relying on ultrasn0w, its not updated yet to support iOS 5.0.1. So check back for an ultrasn0w update…
