Custom Recovery & One-Click ICS Root for RAZR and MAXX [How To]

One click ICS Root solution for the Motorola Droid RAZR sound too good to be true? It isn’t. A one click root solution and custom recovery both are now available for Droid RAZR ICS update, thanks to an XDA Developers member.

As is evident from the name itself, all you’ll need to do is plug in your Droid RAZR or RAZR Maxx and run the script. This is convenient for those who don’t particularly like running Command Prompts or Terminal commands.

Droid RAZR ICS users have more to rejoice about. They now have Custom Recovery specifically made for Droid RAZR ICS users. An unofficial port ClockWorkMod Recovery has been created thus allowing users to flash ROMS safely bypassing compatibility issues.

Both the root and recovery methods work with GSM and CDMA models of the Droid RAZR. Users simply need to ensure that they download files that are meant for these variants.

How To Use The One Click Root Method:

1. Download and unzip the package
2. Enable USB Debug
3. Connect the phone to your PC – Use Media Sync – MTB
4. Run the script
5. Install superuser and busybox from Google Play.
6. Done!
Note: If you get a “failed on ‘batch’ – No such file or directory”, just ignore it!
