Apple released iOS 5.1.1 – a software update for all iDevices – just yesterday. The update contains the usual bug fixes and has basically been released in order to appease users who have been complaining about the new iPad’s performance. The update brings the following bug patches and improvements with it:

Users who updated their HTC Sensation, Sensation XE and Sensation 4G to the official OTA ICS 4.0.3 update ended up with their HBOOT upgraded to 1.27.000 and with S-On, they were stuck with the official stock rom. The easiest and more user friendly way to S-Off HTC Sensation on older HBoot versions is the Revolutionary [...]

This past weekend the entire jailbreak community was pleasantly surprised by the revelation of a new unlock method for iPhones that works for any baseband and firmware at all, given the iPhone is jailbroken. The method was long, but worthwhile; the unlock is permanent and there is no need to pay anything either as it [...]

The other day, we wrote about some great news. A new unlock method for jailbroken iPhones was made available and the technique was verified to be working by none other than MuscleNerd himself, who successfully unlocked an iPhone 4S using this method and made it work on T-Mobile’s network. For those who are unaware, unlocking [...]

Today, we can contact anyone we want, but we can’t always choose not to be contacted by certain people. Seeing a call from a pesky relative or friend, or even some unknown number prank calling gets pretty annoying sometimes, especially when you’re already waiting for a call by someone else. The ignore button is there, [...]

The wait probably seems interminable to those waiting for a jailbreak or unlock. Previously, it didn’t take too long after a firmware update for developers to come up with something and publicly release it. However, it appears that the difficulty of doing so has increased dramatically over time and the whole process has slowed down [...]

Fragmentation within Android remains a big problem for Google. Where Apple’s software updates are comparatively uniform, only a miserably percentage of around 1% Android devices are currently on the latest and supposedly greatest Ice Cream Sandwich. This percentage is bound to increase though, as official ROMs begin to arrive in increasing numbers. Another one is [...]

iPads are the tablets of choice for most people these days. An increasing amount of regular and business users alike rely on Apple’s impressive device. This is not to say that there is nothing missing from the tablet though. Among the most notable omissions are Windows and the host of apps and productivity tools that [...]

HTC, once considered a top company, has rapidly fallen behind tech giants such as Apple and Samsung in the leading smartphone maker race. The reason for this is probably the company choosing to churn out an incredible number of handsets, focusing on quantity rather than quality. Earlier this year, it was revealed by HTC that [...]

People believing Macs to be impenetrable by viruses and Trojans will be disappointed and possibly slightly alarmed- even Macs fall prey to them. A new, rather mysterious Trojan is going around online and appears to affect OS X running Macs. This isn’t quite as alarming as the fact that this Trojan is written in a [...]

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note SGH-I717, which was released back in February, can now run Android 4.0.3 ICS ROM. A leaked build was released by none other than RootzWiki, known for posting leaked builds and solution to Android related issues.

Various scripts, tweaks and mods do improve a phone’s performance but sometimes a phone can perform even better. Here’s some good news for Samsung [...]
